Curriculum
Demonstrate Your Existing Washroom-Cleaning Skills
Assessment focus:
Show that you can prepare a washroom, replenish consumables, remove dust and soilage, clean walls, high-contact surfaces and floors, and reinstate the work area using skills you already possess.

Demonstrate replenishment and cleaning of washroom surfaces and floors.

Demonstrate how to return the washroom to a clean, safe condition.
What Will Be Assessed
Assessment scope: practical performance + oral questioning (no training)
Assessment Area 1: Prepare for Washroom Cleaning
- Demonstrate the preparations required before cleaning washrooms.
Assessment Area 2: Replenish Consumables
- Demonstrate how to check and replenish washroom consumables.
Assessment Area 3: Remove Dust, Soilage and Spillage
- Demonstrate appropriate removal of dust, soilage and spillage from washroom surfaces.
Assessment Area 4: Clean Walls, Partitions and High-Contact Surfaces
- Demonstrate cleaning of toilet walls, partitions and surfaces with high user contact.
Assessment Area 5: Clean Floors and Reinstate the Work Area
- Demonstrate cleaning of toilet floors and reinstatement of the work area.
PWM PROGRESSION
This Certification Supports PWM Wage Progression
Monthly basic wage requirements from 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2027 for full-time cleaners working 35 to 44 hours per week.
This certification supports applicable Level 1 frontline cleaning roles.
This certification supports applicable Outdoor / Healthcare Cleaner roles.

What is the Assessment-Only Pathway?
AOP recognises knowledge and skills acquired through prior learning and work experience. It allows eligible cleaners to attain the same certification directly through assessment without undergoing training.
How much cleaning experience do I need?
You must have at least three months of prior cleaning experience.
Is training included?
No. This pathway consists of assessment only. If you need instruction or guided practice, choose the Training + Assessment pathway instead.
Will I receive the same certification?
Yes. Successful candidates receive the same WSQ Statement of Attainment for Perform Basic Cleaning of Washrooms — Level 1 with Skill Code EVS-CGO-1007-1.1.
How will I be assessed?
Assessment consists of practical performance and oral questioning and takes approximately 1.25 hours.
What if I am not assessment-ready?
Choose the Training + Assessment pathway if you need guided instruction and practice before assessment.
Can my employer nominate me?
Yes. Employers may enquire about AOP for experienced workers, including possible on-site arrangements.
What are the fees for Perform Basic Cleaning Of Washrooms AOP?
The full fee is $125.00 before GST and funding. Including GST, eligible Citizens and PRs aged 21–39 pay $73.75; eligible Citizens aged 40+ pay $48.75; and the qualifying employer-sponsored category pays $48.75. Eligibility and applicable terms must be confirmed before registration.
Where is the course held, and can my company arrange on-site delivery?
Adepco is at 39A Jalan Pemimpin, Halcyon Building #04-02D, Singapore 577183, near Marymount MRT. Companies may enquire about on-site arrangements from four participants, subject to course suitability and trainer availability. Contact us with your workers’ roles, preferred location and dates.
Can an employer arrange washroom AOP for experienced cleaners?
Yes. Share your washroom cleaners’ experience, existing certificates, number of learners and preferred dates. Adepco will review suitability and arrangements. Learners need at least three months of cleaning experience; assessment only is suitable when they can already demonstrate the required competencies.
